Badia is a small village in the Alta Badia and just a mile or so along the valley from popular Corvara. It's a very traditional little place with only a few hotels, but it makes up for it on the scenery front. It's incredibly picturesque and has just as easy access to the 1220km of glorious Dolomites piste as Corvara does.

Neighbouring Corvara is a chic and vibrant base from which to explore the Sella Ronda (one of the world's most famous Alpine ski routes). It also provides some of the best skiing and accommodation in all of Europe.

Badia is an ideal winter retreat for skiers and non-skiers alike, all be it much quieter than Corvara. Head here if you want to enjoy the slopes by day and take it really easy at night. It's simple enough to get around as ski buses and taxi run frequently, but après in Badia is centred around the hotels - no bad thing when you see the choice!

Corvara is just as ideal but with a bustling, fun vibe and great après ranging from a quiet aperitivo in a café or tasting a wide range of wines, to attending the infamous 'boot bop' and drinking champagne cocktails all night.

There’s something for every ability level here. The ski school is excellent meaning beginners will progress quickly onto the slopes that lead into town.

Intermediates will find it absolutely heavenly thanks to the 1220km of well-pisted runs. Both resorts are seated in the perfect position to enjoy the 40km Sella Ronda circuit, one of the world’s most famous alpine ski routes.

Badia is quieter than its livelier neighbour, but there is a great bar called La Munt at the bottom of the main piste which has occasional live music. There's also the Bad Pub which is just a short walk from the Sporthotel Teresa,

Corvara has a nice buzz about it. There are fine wines to taste and cakes to eat in the many shops and bars, as well as spa treatments to enjoy in the hotels. Badia is much quieter and après really centres around the hotel.

Whether you’re looking for a quiet night with a cosy fireplace and an aperitivo, or something more lively (check out the infamous ‘boot bop’ and have a few champagne cocktails while you’re at it), Corvara has a nightlife scene that’s very popular yet chic.
