Rock climbing in Greece

New for 2017, at Messini Beachclub we will have a climbing wall with instructors on site, so you can give climbing a go for  the first time or polish your existing skills. Guests staying at Buca Beachclub (which is next door to Messini) can also use the climbing wall at Messini Beachclub. Climbing on the wall with instruction is an inclusive activity for guests staying at Messini and Buca Beachclubs.

If you get a taste for it, you can also book to try it out on a real rock face, as we offer a pre-bookable rock climbing experience in a stunning location an hours drive away from Messini and Buca Beachclubs.

Climbing at Kardamili, Greece

One of the main climbing sites we'll be using is called Kardamili. First opened in 2013, the limestone crags, which rise above a beautiful bay, have more than 30 bolted climbing routes of beginner and intermediate level.

It's best to climb in the morning before the heat of the day, so you'll be leaving either Messini or Buca Beachclubs at around 7.30am ready for a two-hour climbing session. You'll be learning the basics and climbing for the first time with the assistance and reassurance of highly qualified instructors. The Kardamili climbing experience can be pre-booked for £65 per person and will only run if a minimum of three people have booked the trip.

The minimum age to join the climbing at Kardamili is eight years and children between the ages of 8-15 years must be accompanied by an adult (either climbing or spectating). The climbing experience is subject to minimum numbers, without at least three guests on the trip it will not run.

Rock climbing in Croatia

Alana Beachclub in Croatia is just two kilometres from the Paklenica National Park, one of the premier free climbing sites in Europe.

To get you started there's a climbing wall at the beachclub along with instruction. It's an inclusive activity so you can just pop along and give it a go.

Climbing in the Paklenica National Park, Croatia

We have teamed up with a local climbing school to offer two different packages. A two-hour 'try out' (£40 per person), four hour 'Paklenica climbing experience' (£60 per person) or Spectator pass - which also gives you access to the national park (£15 per person) can be pre-booked with us before you head out on holiday to Alana Beachclub

Most of the routes are easy to access and with a wide range of grades; pretty much anyone can give it a go. The climbing is on limestone rock, the majority of the routes are bolted and there are over 170 single pitch sports routes close to the entrance to the park.  All pre-bookable climbing will include transfers, equipment and park entrance fee.

The minimum age to join the climbing in Paklenica National Park is eight years (minimum height 135cm and minimum weight 28kgs). Children between the ages of 8-17 years must be accompanied by an adult (either climbing or spectating).
