Make yourself at home at Le Hameau du Rocher Blanc apartments - perfect little chalet style buildings right in Chantemerle, no more than 200 metres from the ski lifts. The apartments are in one of seven buildings on two sites that are about 200 metres apart.

You'll have free use of an indoor heated swimming pool and a fitness room too, so the apartments mix the freedom of living on your own with the best parts of staying in a hotel. Each apartment gets one free sauna and steam room session per week, and there's a communal lounge complete with Wi-Fi (available at a small charge) and pool table for your downtime.

A bakery delivery service ups the ante, and if you need a little more pampering, massage and Thalgo beauty treatments are also available.

About the resort

Serre Chevalier is made up of four separate villages lying in the south-facing valley above the medieval fortress town of Briançon – a World Heritage site. Our accommodation is based in two of them; Chantemerle is traditional with more charm and shops whilst Villeneuve, being more recently built, is ideal for easy mountain access and some lively après ski. There's plenty to do off the slopes including impressive thermal baths at nearby Monêtier.

On the mountain, everything is big. Big terrain and big areas for beginners, intermediates and advanced skiers and snowboarders. Journey between the well-connected pistes linking the four peaks and the numerous tree lined runs threading through pretty larch forests.

The red runs of Chantemerle and Villeneuve offer a real challenge, as well as some serious off-piste expeditions. And don't miss the infamous Rocher de l'Enfer run - you'll need an hour in the hot tub after that thigh burner!

Food and drink

It's not surprising that these apartments are self-catering - that's part of the fun of staying in a place of your own. You'll be able to cook up whatever you fancy for your group with access to your very own kitchenette.

The apartments here are in one of seven chalet-style buildings. They come well-equipped with everything you could need on holiday, including a kitchenette featuring a fridge/freezer, a two or four-ring hob, a microwave and a dishwasher, so no rock paper scissors needed to find out who does the washing up!

The apartments also have Wi-Fi (at a charge), a lounge with a TV and a balcony for taking in those stunning mountain views!

The one bedroom apartments have a twin or double bedroom, a single sofa bed and a pull-out bed in the living room. The two bedroom apartments do the same, but are larger, with one double room and one twin room. Some of these also have a mezzanine, and most have an additional shower room for extra privacy.

Each apartment has a deposit of approximately €300 which is payable on arrival.
