Holiday highlights
Peak skiing starts here
Big mountains, brilliant snow and miles of pistes to play on. Val d’Isère and Tignes combine to create one seriously impressive high-altitude ski area, with everything from cruisy blues to leg-burning reds and challenging blacks.
With glacier skiing and a well-earned reputation for snow-sure conditions, you can spend your days exploring spectacular terrain. Head for ‘La Langue du Glacier' on Grande Motte above Tignes. It's wonderfully scenic without being difficult to ski or board.
Free Ski and snowboard guiding
Make more of the mountain from Hotel Le Tovière with our free Mountain Expert sessions. If you’re confident on blue and red runs, join our local professional instructors to discover more of Val d’Isère’s brilliant ski area. They’ll show you some of their favourite spots, with guided sessions and free coaching to help boost your confidence and technique along the way. There’s at least one session every day, with every guest guaranteed a minimum of two sessions during their week.
Beyond the slopes
Val d’Isère has plenty of charm once the skis come off. Wander its snowy streets, duck into cosy bars and watch the village come alive as the lifts close. Start the party on the mountain at legendary La Folie Douce, head to Cocorico for live music and dancing in your ski boots, then carry on into town. Après here can be as lively (or laid-back) as you like.
Heavenly spa
The spa and wellness area is a real highlight of the hotel. Take a dip in the swimming pool with its huge picture window, warm up in the spacious sauna and steam room, or sink into the hot tub for a well-earned rest for those ski legs. For an extra dose of relaxation, choose from professional sports, deep tissue and hot stone massages, or slow things right down with an Indian head massage and TEMPLESPA beauty treatment.

Afternoon tea
A treat after the slopes
There’s nothing quite like coming in from the cold to freshly baked cakes and biscuits. Afternoon tea is served daily, giving you the perfect excuse to warm up, refuel and put your ski-booted feet up after a day on the mountain.
Raise a glass
Après drinks to evening nightcaps
Evenings settle into an easy rhythm at the hotel. The central bar and welcoming lounge are the perfect place to unwind after a day on the mountain. Sink into a cosy corner with an aperitif or join the buzz around the bar as the après builds into the evening.
