This is a great chalet, and the Neilson staff were top-notch! The food was great, and the wellness area was really nice. We have been on many Neilson holidays, and the staff here were by far the best!

A few points on the location and the resort which I wish I had known before we went and, to be honest, would put me off going back.
Being close to the lift was handy (and the main reason we picked this resort) , but it's a bit perilous to get down in the morning and have a proper trek to get back uphill if the shuttle bus isn't around (we only caught it once all week!) It would have been easier to be within walking distance to the lift in Sportina
Be mindful that this area isn't beginner-friendly (much better places to learn!) Although there are some cruisy wide runs, its mostly narrow, step red runs (especially when the whole resort isn't open due to conditions)
Also, even though it's a linked resort, those links often go down, leaving you stuck in Sauze (buses are not frequent, and taxis are not cheap or plentiful).
The route back from Sestriere involves a narrow mountain path that is a nightmare for snowboarders, as is the tow lift back from Sansicario (and you then get greeted with the mountain path back to Sauze). However, both resorts are excellent. We took the bus to Montgenevre (with Neilson), which was worthwhile too. This isn't like the linked resorts in 3 Valleys or Val'Desere, which are super easy to navigate and buses to jump on and off
More experienced skiers/snowboarders would probably love it here! (when the weather plays ball!) I wouldn't chance the weather in early January again
We still had a wonderful week, and I am glad we went. It was great value, but we will probably explore a different location next time, which is a shame, as the chalet and team were fantastic!
