Our holidays include over 25 activities

This was our third visit to Messini, and it did not disappoint. The first two visits were with one child, but having had another baby this year we opted for a hotel suite and it was lovely to have the extra space.
The kids club is amazing - they get to try a bit of everything and our eldest loved it (our littlest was only 2 months old so stayed with us).
The range of activities is great and there's plenty of enthusiasm from the instructors. The only criticism I have on this is the sign up process at the end of the briefing with the massive queues. I wonder if there's a better way of managing this?
The food is a massive selling point - really fresh and a good variety throughout the week. However, clearly the stops were all pulled out for Saturday night as most people's last evening - it would be nice if some of the best dishes were spread throughout the week a bit more!
The staff here are all excellent - so friendly and helpful and one of the reasons we keep returning.
The only thing I would say isn't up to scratch is the pool bar - there's a very limited selection of cocktails which is a bit disappointing and the cocktails they do have are generally over-iced and lacking in flavour. It's not great getting to the end of a Mojito and finding all the sugar in the bottom as it's not been mixed properly! It's also very expensive, which I feel is taking advantage of the fact there are no real alternatives closeby. Our bar bill by the end of the week was a bit of a shock!
Overall a great holiday and we'll definitely return, but with a few tweaks as mentioned above, it could be even better.

Had a wonderful week with friends at Vounaki. Weather was perfect.
Staff were always pleasant and friendly and nothing was too much trouble, from restaurant/bar to ground staff and activity team.
Food was excellent - creative menu, fresh and tasty meals.
Rooms were spacious and clean we had fantastic view over the bay.
Activities were well run and supervised and you always felt safe.
Resort was close to very pleasant local town - great bars and family run restaurants.
Looking forward to going back very soon.

Pickleball was great but so popular that intro sessions were overbooked. The result was that total novices were arriving at social sessions expecting to play despite being clueless as to how the game is played.

Tennis also overcrowded. Like pickleball, needed more staff support during our stay 14-28 September. On more than one occasion just three junior staff were stretched across all raquet activities. Given the size of Messini plus Bouca, this was woefully inadequate. Clearly staff are entitled to days off and holiday, but customers should not feel the consequences of insufficient staff availabikity.
