The Cristallo is perfect for keen skiers and boarders thanks to its location opposite the main pistes and in the centre of town. It's a modern and comfortable hotel that occupies the first two floors of the building that just so happens to sit right across from the ski school meeting place and the lifts.

When you come off the slopes in the evening, you'll have quite a few options. You can head to the sophisticated lounge area for a relaxing hour or two, or you can hit the spa and wellness area which features a gym, hot tub, sauna and steam room.

There's also a bar which is the ideal location for enjoying an aperitivo before heading out for the evening, or you can hang out in the separate TV room and take advantage of the satellite TV there.

    About the resort

As one of the highest ski resorts in Italy,  Sestrière has got it all - excellent snow conditions, a laid back feel, 400km of beautifully pisted runs and a chilled out aprés-ski scene that visitors love. It's a cosmopolitan sort of place, boasting genuine Italian hospitality and some good shopping too.

The resort sits at 2035m and is just above the treeline. This is the place where you can ski until your legs can't ski anymore - then soak up the sun and have a few aperitivos. Intermediates should try skiing to Montgenèvre in France for the day, a real leg burner!

After hours there is a smattering of nightclubs to while away the hours in with a few drinks and a lively atmosphere. And then there's the boutique shopping, which proves to be very popular.
