Our tennis holiday programmes designed by Mark Petchey, a former top 100 ATP tennis player who's coached Andy Murray and, Emma Raducanu. The tennis offering at our Beach Clubs is top-notch and anyone can take part.
The daily group coaching sessions are available at no extra cost and you'll come away from your tennis holiday a more confident player. Plus you may even inspire your child to become the next Grand Slam champion along the way. Private one-to-one coaching is available to help you get those volleys in shape – a great option for anyone choosing a solo tennis holiday.

You can expect the best tennis coaching on your Neilson holiday with our Mark Petchey programme. It's available daily at most of our Beach Clubs, with free group coaching sessions run by expert coaches, trained by Mark himself.
Our coaching sessions are grouped by ability, so whether you’re a complete beginner or going pro, you'll practice with others of a similar level. At some point during the week there’s an informal tournament for all players.
This specially designed programme makes our tennis holidays some of the best, offering plenty of value on your action-packed trip.

Free play and social tennis holidays
Hit the courts at any time when coaching isn’t taking place for extra practice during your Neilson tennis holiday. Simply book a court, grab some kit and enjoy a match with a friend. Alternatively, get together with a group for a competitive afternoon or simply put into practice the skills learnt from our professionals. Coaches are on hand between sessions to offer friendly advice to get your tennis in tip-top condition.
You'll also be able to join in with some social tennis. Offered on most days, our tennis coaches will get you playing a series of double matches. It's a great way to meet new people and brush up on those skills. Winner buys the first round?
Premium tennis is available if you want intensive coaching and play tennis regularly. You'll get 10 hours of coaching over 5 days in small groups of up to 8 people. This costs just £180 per person and will focus on:
• Refining techniques to develop consistency • Developing groundstrokes and net play • Mastering service techniques and playing to a game plan • Nailing footwork • 4 super drills sessions (4hrs) • Enhancing fitness with tennis-specific exercises • Honing your skills in a 30-minute one-to-one session
If your footwork or backhand is letting you down, book a one-to-one coaching session during your tennis holiday. These can be booked at your Beach Club, and you're welcome to join any of the free group sessions as well.
Private coaching is available at all of our Beach Clubs with tennis courts for a supplement (charged in local currency). Blocks of 3, 4 or 5 private lessons can be booked and are subject to availability.
Padel is typically played in doubles on an enclosed court roughly 25% smaller than the size of a tennis court. Scoring is the same as normal tennis and the balls used are similar but with a little less pressure. The main differences are that the court has walls and the balls can be played off them in a similar way as in the game of squash and that solid, stringless bats are used. The height of the ball being served must be at or below the waist level.
The rules are broadly the same as tennis and groups of mixed age and abilities can easily play together. Padel tennis sessions with one of our coaches are included, and there is a supplement for the free play sessions. Give it a go during your tennis holiday at Levante Beach Club, Neilson x Cook's Club Adakoy and our new Neilson x Mangia's Torre del Barone Resort in Sicily.
We're excited to offer the fun sport of pickleball at some of our Beach Clubs. Pickleball was invented in the USA in 1965 and found its way to Europe in 2011, gaining in popularity, it is one of the fastest-growing sports in the world. It combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. The court is a similar size to a badminton one with a slightly modified tennis net. Two or four players use solid paddles to hit a perforated ball, over the net.
The whole family can get stuck in on your Neilson tennis holiday. Children as young as 2 will get an introduction to tennis within their kids’ clubs. The session will be run by a qualified tennis coach. Plenty of tennis-based games will keep the fun factor high.
Junior Tennis coaching is available for kids aged 6-13 years old, so they will have more chances to ace their game. They can enjoy up to 4 complimentary 1-hour sessions per week and learn from a professionally trained coach. Junior coaching is only available during the school summer holidays and the May and October half-term.
What's more, we have an excellent range of junior equipment available, including Wilson Roger Federer rackets and Junior Blades. They'll pick up tips and tricks from our expert coaches while having a blast with new friends.
Our solo tennis holidays are great if you want to perfect your game. Our Beach Clubs are incredibly sociable, so you'll have plenty of opportunities to meet others and find an opponent or training partner.
While an action-packed schedule is available during your stay, we understand solo travellers may want some peace and quiet at times. There'll be plenty of opportunities for downtime to unwind alone or catch up with others at the hotel bar.
We have one-to-one coaching sessions available if you want to boost your backhand or simply get some hands-on help with your skills. Book these upon arrival to avoid missing out.
For something more relaxed, Sardinia's Baia dei Mori Beach Club is the place to unwind between matches and coaching sessions during your tennis holiday. Those looking to master their killer backhand can book our Premium tennis package at Alana Beach Club in Croatia, which has 6 tennis courts.
what should I pack for a tennis holiday?
First up, trainers. A tennis holiday will involve lots of twists, turns, and short sprints, so having durable footwear is key. Make sure they offer support and pair them with slightly padded socks.
Shorts are a must too and should allow for plenty of movement without getting in the way. We recommend choosing moisture-wicking materials. A sweatband can also be helpful.
Being in the sun all day can take its toll, so pack suncream, sunglasses, and a hat for protection. It's also recommended that you pack a water bottle to stay hydrated. We provide rackets and balls, but feel free if you'd prefer to bring your own gear. The childcare was absolutely excellent. Two of my children had 1-1s, who were superb. They were kind and made it so much fun, they built a real rapport with them and had so much fun on the sea and in the pool.
The location was wonderful, with a very pretty outlook, and near a lovely village. The food was excellent with plenty of gluten free choices.
We enjoyed the activities, especially sailing, tennis and cycling. All the activities leaders were fun, friendly and knew their stuff.
Our first room was too hot, but this was resolved. I suggest they improve the aircon in the mezzanine rooms.
The flight out with Enter Air was very crowded and wasn't great timing, but I appreciate that with pressure on flights this summer, Neilson didn't have much choice. Hopefully this can be improved next year. Our return flight with EasyJet was much better for both timing and experience.
