Family holidays in Italy

This was our first Neilson holiday as a family of four, and we had a very good time at Baia Dei Mori Beachclub!

Our son joined the Stingrays kids club, and thoroughly enjoyed the various activities (e.g. SUP stack and run, biking around the resort, windsurfing, and games in and out of the pool) led by Becca, Alex, and Ella, the wonderful Stingray leaders.

Whilst our son was in kids club, my wife, daughter and myself enjoyed a combination of chilling out around the pool, down at the beach, and around the resort, and participating in the wide range of activities on offer.

It was particularly refreshing to find that, at any time of day, there were plenty of sunbeds available both around the pool and on the beach.

We certainly didn't go hungry during our week at Baia Dei Mori Beachclub, with plenty of variety, and good-quality food available in the buffet-style breakfasts, lunches, and 4 included dinners.

Our apartment (we chose a family room with extra bed) was basic, but spacious and comfortable.

Overall a very enjoyable week spent in the Sardinia sun courtesy of Neilson :-)

2 weeks of fun, sun and off course water sport action in Sardinia with Club Neilson Active Holidays. Baia dei mori beach resort has every sport options to keep you busy with a Super nice team, always on hand to make your stay as relaxing or active as can be. For us it was mostly the beach team, very helpful, always happy to help and with a smile on their face, and since we (no surprise there) spent most our time at the beach it made our stay even better. Food is okay, nothing magic, but perfectly acceptable. End of July early August is really hot, but the bedrooms are all air conditioned which is a luxury making nights very pleasant, rooms are nice, simple but very clean and comfortable, we are not spending our days inside anyway so perfectly suitable for the holidays. 2 days out with a hire car to visit the island with the family (which the reception team, also super helpful, booked for us), we visited mostly the north and east side of the island, then back to the club for more water action.
Baia dei mori doesn’t have wingfoiling gear, although it turns out they do but mostly beginners stuff for initiation to wingfoiling, I took my own gear with me, first time flying with a board bag, a little stressful but with no issues after all, and I’m certainly glad I did. 7 days of wind including one mistral day at 35 knots with gust over 40knts. I didn’t plan for strong wind conditions, thinking Sardinia in summer it wouldn’t be super windy, but on a mistral day it can be full on, luckily the Neilson beach team had a 3.5m2 wing which I could borrow and saved me that day. On the lighter wind days more winging/windsurfing if windy enough, if not then paddle boarding kayaking, dingy/ cat sailing with the girls, my wife even managed to go out windsurfing too, Everyone happy we will be back.

Baia Dei Mori is a great resort for all the family, with immediate access from the resort through the pine trees to a beautiful sandy beach with azure waters as well as all the usual sports that Neilson offers. We were a group of 17, and everyone from 9 months to 72 had a wonderful time.
