New Year ski holidays

What better way to see the New Year in than in a ski resort. Fireworks, fun, friends and family all together make for a truly memorable New Year ski holiday.

Ski resorts at New Year tend to pull out all the stops. Most put on lavish fireworks displays and the bars stay open late to keep the celebrations going well into the night.

Why ski at New Year?
  • Fantastic party atmosphere
  • Perfect for family holidays
  • Start 2018 off with a bang
  • Enjoy local festivities
  • Six night short breaks available

There's no better place to enjoy fireworks either. They light up the already beautiful surrounding mountains in a shower of colour to the delight of onlookers.

Take a look at our New Year ski deals page to find your perfect holiday rather than waiting for what's left...

New Year flying days

There's no chance of missing the festivities with us as we've changed our regular Sunday flights to the Wednesday before so you're not travelling on New Year's Eve and potentially miss all the celebrations.

This change means that a six night short break is available, and if you're travelling with kids, you'll be back before they have to return to school (not everyone will be happy about that)!

We've put together a handy festive flying dates grid which shows you what days we fly on and how long the holidays are for.

The best parties around...

You're guaranteed a good New Year's Eve whilst on holiday, but some resorts really go the extra mile to ring in a new year.

Most have impressive fireworks displays with parties on the pistes and DJs keeping things flowing.

Take a look at what we think are the five best ski resorts for New Year's Eve with a quick low-down on what you can expect.

Everything is open

There's no better way to clear a slightly fuzzy head than taking in the fresh mountain air and enjoying a delicious hot chocolate on the slopes.

Everything runs as normal on New Year's day too. All of the lifts and slopes are open, as are the restaurants and bars, even ski and snowboard lessons go ahead.

There are always plenty of funny sites on a New Year ski holiday as people often bring fancy dress along to ski or snowboard in. What would yours be?
